Lattelecom strikes deal with TV3 over retransmission rights

Latvian telco Lattelecom has reached an agreement with commercial broadcaster TV3 to retransmit the channel as part of its interactive digital offer.

The deal will mean that Lattelecom viewers will be able to view TV3 and TV6 via its IPTV offer. Lattelecom also broadcasts channels on digital-terrestrial TV and on the internet. The company has been in dispute with TV3 over retransmission rights.

Lattelecom ended 2009 with 55,000 pay-TV subscribers, including 43,000 IPTV subscribers.
