LG Electronics has signed a deal with Orange to deliver a range of content from the telco and IPTV operator to internet-connected TVs in France.
Following an agreement signed yesterday, the companies will offer exclusive access in France to an Orange portal on connected LG TV sets.
Developed by Orange, the portal has been designed to offer new customer experiences alongside traditional TV usage, according to LG. Users will have access to various multimedia services provided by Orange, including Orange Sport, news services 24/24 Actu and radio service Liveradio as well as other content including TV programmes and music.
Raoul Roverato, executive vice-president for new growth activities at Orange said: This partnership with LG Electronics, illustrates our strategy to offer the best content and services on all screens connected up to the internet, with PCs, mobiles and now televisionsÂ.
The service will be available from to anyone in France with an internet connection and a connected LG TV.
