BSkyB pulls out of YouTube talks

Satellite pay TV broadcaster BSkyB has pulled out of talks with Google-owned online video site YouTube over making its shows available for free via the service.

Sky was in talks with YouTube to make shows such as Soccer AM available via the site in the same way as free-to-air broadcasters Channel 4 and Five have done. However, the News Corp-owned company has decided not to allows its series, which are provided via a pay-TV subscription model, to be put online for free. This comes as News Corp boss Rupert Murdoch has accused Google of stealing its content.
