Prisa is considering selling additional stakes in Spanish pay-TV provider Digital Plus following last week’s deal with Telefónica.
According to the Financial Times, the CEO of the Spanish media group, Juan Luis Cebrian, said the company was in discussions with potential investors in its satellite television business. His comments come after Telefónica last week agreed to pay 470m for a 21% share of Digital Plus. The Spanish telco is one of several companies, including Vivendi, Mediaset and News Corp, said to have shown an interest in acquiring the pay-TV operator.
