Russian service provider Comstar-UTS has completed the construction of the first phase of a new fibre network in the city of Severodvinsk in the far north-west of the country, near Archangelsk.
The latest fibre-to-the-building rollout will connect some 4,000 apartments in the city, allowing it to deliver services including high-speed internet, video streaming, video-on-demand and video telephony. Comstar aims to complete the network in the first half of next year. Severodvinsk has a population of about 200,000 people.
