Lattelecom grows broadband base

Latvian telco Lattelecom has grown its broadband base by 6% since the beginning of the year to reach 192,000, the company said. The company’s fibre network in Riga passed its 5,000th customer earlier this month, and Lattelecom has also begun offering a 500Mbps service.

Separately, Lattelecom said it would install free digital-terrestrial decoders in 150 social care homes and centres across the country, following the installation of 30 free decoders in care homes in Riga and other towns.
