French service provider Free has launched a video game service via its Freebox TV offer.
Games are accessible via the TV remote control, which can also be used to play the games. Free has developed a number of games internally, including Démineur, Solitaire, Morpion, Bomberbox, Sokobox, Scavenger and Snakebox. Subscribers can also access console games from the web and copy them to the hard disk drive of their Freebox HD via FTP or USB key.
Free is also offering 3D games including Duke Nukem 3D and Doom, which can also be copied to the hard disk drive of the Freebox. The games are available to all Multi TV subscribers.
