Telekom Austria blamed weaker economies in foreign markets and negative currency effects for third quarter revenues of Â1.2bn, down 7.3% year-on-year. EBITDA was also down 9% to Â489.8m.
The decline was influenced by the telcoÂs fixed net unit, which contributed revenues Â470m, down from Â496.9m a year earlier. However, the loss of fixed net access lines declined for the seventh consecutive quarter, which Telekom Austria said was due to stronger customer retention and strong uptake of product bundles.
