Russian broadcaster CTC Media is taking legal action against former president and chief executive Alexander Rodnyansky for being involved in the business of one of the companyÂs competitors in Russia and has acted against the best interests of CTC MediaÂ.
CTC is not saying what company Rodnyansky was working for, although its owners MTG Russia and Alfa CTC has removed him from the board of directors, where he is currently a non-executive member. Rodnyansky was chief executive of the company until August 2008 and president until August 2009.
