European football body UEFA has granted sports broadcaster Sport TV the pay-TV rights to the Euro 2012 championships for Portugal.
Sport TV has been granted the pay broadcast rights for all 31 matches of the tournament, out of which 12 group-stage matches will be exclusively shown on Sport TV. The broadcaster will provide coverage of the tournament, that will be played in Poland and Ukraine, on its channels, Sport TV 1, Sport TV 2 and Sport TV HD with highlights of every matchday and dedicated magazine programmes in addition to its live offering. It will also make the broadcast of the matches available via internet and mobile.
UEFA said free-to-air broadcasting rights in Portugal will be distributed at a later stage.
