Sanoma pay-TV subs remain stable

Finnish conglomerate Sanoma, which owns the country’s Welho cable network and broadcast group Nelonen Media, ended September with 67,000 pay-TV subscribers, down 1,000 year-on-year. Welho’s connected homes numbered 326,000, up from 322,000 a year earlier. Broadband internet connections reached 112,000, up from 103,000.

Sanoma’s entertainment division reported net sales of €35m for the third quarter, up slightly from €34.7m a year earlier. Operating profit excluding non-recurring items reached €3.8m up €1m year-on-year.
