Volia chooses Appear TV for digital headend

Headend equipment provider Appear TV’s SC2000 has been selected by Ukranian cable operator Volia.

Volia is building a new digital headend station in Kyiv in order to improve the range of digital TV services it is able to provide to its subscriber base of over 500,000. Appear TV said the SC2000 enables operators to receive, descramble, scramble and stream multiple video feeds over any network in high quality. It comes with 1Gbps capacity and handles all signal processing, from reception to IP streaming, internally.
