CBS opens up shop in Germany

CBS Studios International is opening a German office, which will be run by Oliver Kreuter. The ex-Bavaria Media Television executive will spearhead CBS Studio’s programme sales efforts from the new Munich base.

CBS has also recently appointed Reed Manville to head up a branded channels initiative and he has told Informa Telecoms & Media that, having announced the launch of six channels in the UK, CBS is looking to roll out other channels in Europe and beyond.

CBS Studios now has eleven offices outside of its Hollywood base. “With the increasing importance of the German media market, we feel it essential to establish a local presence in Germany,” said Armando Nuñez, president, CBS Studios International.
