Ziggo chooses Nokia Siemens for VoIP upgrade

Dutch cable operator Ziggo has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to expand and upgrade its VoIP network.

Ziggo said Nokia Siemens Networks will upgrade, expand and optimise its complete VoIP network to enable easy and fast implementation of new services, including a simplified, user-friendly voice mail platform that also features email notification about voice mail messages and the ability to add three-way conferencing. 

Deliveries of the solution will begin this month and it will be taken into commercial use during the first half of 2010.
