Comstar acquires eight cable operators

Russian service provider Comstar-UTS has acquired the regional assets of eight cable companies operating in various regions in the country.

The move is the result of restructuring, with all companies acquired from JIR Broadcast, a subsidiary of Comstar.

The eight operators are Zao Ila TV, TSN, Infotec, TV Maidan, First Perm Internet Center, Trank, NPO Vidis and CJSC Channel 7, all of which are now fully owned by Comstar.
