Astra2Connect reaches 50,000 subs

Satellite operator SES Astra’s satellite broadband service Astra2Connect now reaches 50,000 subscribers.

The company has also announced that it has introduced new service packages that increase the available speeds of the service, with download rates of up to 4Mbps and upload rates of up to 360kbps. The expanded service also offers volume-limited packages with a fixed download volume of 2 to 4 GB per month.

Astra2Connect launched in early 2007 and is now available in 14 countries throughout Europe and in 10 countries in central and eastern Africa.
