ADB launches Italian HD DTT box

Set-top specialist ADB has a launched a new HD digital-terrestrial box for the Italian retail market.

The i-CAN3810T-HD, marketed under the i-CAN brand and distributed in retail outlets throughout the country via ADB’s distribution partner ZAP, will support broadcaster Mediaset’s premium pay-TV service that can be accessed by a pre-paid card or subscription. The service offers football coverage including Italy’s Serie A and UEFA Champions League matches.

The i-CAN3810T-HD set-top can receive any free, pay, HD MPEG-4 and SD MPEG-2 service broadcast over DTT in Italy. It supports various conditional access systems including those from Nagravision, Irdeto and Conax and also provides HDMI HD and Scart SD outputs. It includes an Ethernet port to support MHP interactive services over broadband and a USB connection.
