Turkish pay TV operator Digiturk has launched push and subscription video-on-demand services over its DTH service.
The company recruited a trio of technology providers to launch the service. TeleIDEA, Irdeto and OpenTV combined to offer a secure service, which is available through a triple-tuner DVR. TeleIDEA provides the EPG, OpenTV the middleware and Irdeto the conditional access for the new services. About 45,000 of Digiturks customers take its HD DVR service and will be able to access the VOD services.
