Telefonica takes Intelsat capacity

Spain’s Telefonica has taken capacity on the Intelsat-905 satellite at 24.5 degrees West to deliver content throughout the Iberian peninsula and the Canary Islands from pay-TV broadcaster Teuve.

Teuve will use the capacity to distribute its 11 channels to cable affiliates. The broadcaster supplies six film channels (CineStar, Extreme, MGM, Somos, CineMatk and Canal 18) and five entertainment channels (Natura, Buzz, Buzz Rojo, Pacha and KidsCo) to two million homes in Spain.
