Microsoft Mediaroom nears four million

Microsoft expects the number of households using its IPTV platform Microsoft Mediaroom to surpass four million in October.

In the past 12 months, Microsoft has more than doubled the number of IPTV subscribers using Mediaroom from 1.5 million to almost four million. It claims that approximately one in six IPTV subscribers is now connected via a Mediaroom-powered service. Over the past six months operators Beeline in Russia, du in the United Arab Emirates, Hellas Online in Greece and SureWest in the US have announced IPTV services using Mediaroom.
