Dori Media channels boost lacklustre results

Despite a strong performance from its channels, Israeli telenovela producer and channel provider Dori Media saw first-half revenues fall to US$25.4m (€17.9m), down 8.6% year-on-year. EBITDA was US$6.4m, down from US$8.4m, while net profit was US$0.4m, down from US$3.5m.

Dori’s TV channels experienced revenue growth of 34% to US$18.8m thanks to success in Indonesia and the performance of its Viva and Viva Platina channels in Israel, as well as the impact of its distribution deal with Israeli cable operator Hot.
However, Dori’s telenovela broadcasting and format rights business saw revenues fall to US$5.9m from US$11.9m.
