Orbit-Showtime detail interim channel offer

Middle Eastern pay-TV platforms Orbit and Showtime have given some details as to their joint programming offer, having confirmed a long awaited merger earlier this week.

Existing Orbit customers have got immediate access to Showtime’s movies, drama, comedy and sports channels as well as E! Entertainment. Meanwhile, Showtime customers can now view the Super Movies, America Plus and Super Comedy channels. All of the channels are available for no extra charge while the merged operator, which still does not have a single name, works out its new channel line-up.

Informa Telecoms & Media estimates that the new entity has a combined subscriber base of over 600,000.
