Satellite operator Arabsat and the Sudanese Radio & Television corporation have signed a deal to launch and operate a DTH platform based in Khartoum.
The platform, to be created by the end of the year, will enable all Sudanese channels, including a number currently transmitted from outside the country, to be transmitted from Khartoum via Arabsats 26° East position.
Arabsat is currently targeting the African market, with plans to cover the entire continent via the new 5-A satellite by the end of the year.
