Modern Times Group-owned pay-TV operator Viasat Broadcasting has added TV4 and SVT Play to its catch-up service.
The agreement with the TV4 Group includes TV4, TV4 Plus, TV4 Fakta and LattjoLajban. Swedish public broadcaster SVT’s service SVT Play, which includes HD programming, has also been added to the service.Â These catch-up services will be available for Viasat’s satellite TV subscribers from next month.
Viasat OnDemand was launched as an online video streaming service in May 2007, providing a selection of feature films, live sports events and TV series for users in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. In October 2008 it also became the brand name for the on-demand TV service received via the ViasatPlusHD DVR for Viasat satellite subscribers in Scandinavia. The free-TV channel services, TV3 Play, TV6 Play, TV8 Play and ZTV Play were added for Sweden on 26 May 2009.
