The German pay-TV operator formerly known as Premieres newly-branded service Sky Deutschland launched on Saturday, with the operator hoping to reverse falling subscriber numbers and kick-start the German pay-TV market.
As a welcome to new customers, Sky Deutschland is supplying all premium packages free of charge for two months for subscribers who sign up to any package, including the basic general entertainment package Sky World, which costs Â16.90 per month. The offer is valid until August 31. Premium packages available from launch include Sky Movie World, Sky Sports and Sky FuÃball Bundesliga.
Sky Deutschland held a relaunch party on Friday night with 700 guests in attendance, including Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson, pop star Katy Perry and boxing champion Vitali Klitschko. Â
