Orange plans online TV site

Orange is reportedly planning to launch a new online video-on-demand site where it will make recent archive shows available.

According to Variety, Orange in France plans to launch the new site, to be named Welles after Orson Welles, by the end of the year.  

The paper cited Orange’s new venture subsidiary Orange Vallée chief executive Jean-Louis Constanza as saying that it would offer advertising-supported streaming of older TV shows and some movies, as well as consumer-generated and social networking features.
