German cable operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) increased revenues by 15% in the 12 months to the end of March, with particular growth coming from internet and telephony services. Revenues reached 1.37bn for the year and EBITDA stood at Â571m, up 25% year-on-year.
By the end of March, KDG served a total of 11.6 million RGUs having added almost 1.1 million during the course of the year. The average number of services taken by customers increased to 1.27 from 1.19 a year earlier.
The operator increased the number of internet and telephony RGUs by 88% to 1.4 million at the end of March, including 708,000 internet RGUs, up from 394,000, and 710,000 telephony RGUs, up from 361,000 a year earlier. KDG ended the year with 849,000 digital TV RGUs after attracting 70,700 new customers.
