Kabel BW selects MediaHighway

German cable operator Kabel BW has chosen NDS’s MediaHighway set-top-box middleware, XTV integrated DVR technology and a VOD solution to launch a new range of services.

NDS said MediaHighway would enable Kabel BW to manage its entire set-top box population and to introduce new services including HD DVR and VOD, powered by NDS’s secure, integrated XTV DVR technology, which enables viewers to record TV content while viewing another programme. Kabel BW has been using NDS’s VideoGuard conditional access technology since 2007.
