Eutelsat ups objective after strong third quarter

Satellite operator Eutelsat turned in revenues of €236.5m for its fiscal third quarter to March 31, up 5.6% on the same period last year. The company said its nine-months performance was ahead of target, and revised its full-year revenue objective to above €925m.

Chairman and CEO Giuliano Berretta said that video services had been boosted by the performance of the 9° East position serving western and central Europe, 16° East for south-eastern Europe and 36° East for Russia and Africa. He said that Eutelsat’s order backlog had increased by €300m to €3.8bn.
