Liberty Global to sell UPC Slovenia

Liberty Global is to sell cable operator UPC Slovenia to private equity firm Mid Europa Partners.

The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including conditions precedent to debt financing and the receipt of regulatory approval. Mid Europa Partners will acquire 100% of UPC Slovenia. Financial details have not been announced.

The Slovenian operator serves approximately 40% of the country’s pay-TV households. Mid Europa Partners is already an investor in the region with a stake in Serbian broadband provider SBB.
