Move acquires Inuk

IPTV provider Inuk Networks has been acquired by internet TV provider Move Networks.

Move Networks said that Inuk’s IPTV platform and virtual set-top box solution for PCs would complement its video publishing system and adaptive streaming technologies.

Inuk provides IPTV services via its Freewire brand to university students in the UK, Ireland and Canada. Move Networks said it was “committed to developing and growing the Freewire platform”, which will launch in the USA and Nordic region later this year.
