SES signs Turner deal for CNN

Satellite operator SES Americom-New Skies has signed a five-year distribution and contribution agreement with Turner Broadcasting System for the delivery of news channel CNN to and from Europe and the Middle East.

Turner is leasing two transponders with a total of 72MHz of capcity aboard the NSS-7 satellite. The same satellite is also providing the backhaul of CNN news reports from CNN’s London, Moscow, Jerusalem and Baghdad bureaus.
