Kabel BW launches new kids package

German cable operator Kabel BW is to launch a new kids pay-TV package Clever Kids, which will be available from August. The operator said the package would include a wide selection of ad-free programming for children and young people up to 13 years old. Details of programming will be announced at the time of launch.

NBC Universal names Russian sales manager

Virgin Media turns to SamKnows for broadband monitoring

UK cable operator Virgin Media has appointed broadband performance measurement specialist SamKnows to conduct an independent trial to measure the performance its broadband customers receive over 12 months. Virgin Media said it intends to use the results to help develop its next-generation broadband service. SamKnows is regulator Ofcom’s appointed technical partner for broadband performance testing. 

Media Capital sees revenues fall
