Euronews signs South Korea deal

European news broadcaster Euronews has launched its channel on Qrix’s IPTV platform in South Korea. The channel is available to the operator’s 140,000 subscribers in eight languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. Euronews now reaches nearly four million households in Asia and the Pacific Rim region.  

Unitymedia upgrades Soest

German cable operator Unitymedia has begun upgrading its network in the town of Soest in central North-Rhine Westphalia. The upgrade, which should be complete by the end of this month, will make triple-play services available to an additional 24,000 households.  

CanalSat to add BravaHDTV

France’s free-to-air DTH platform CanalSat will add pan-European high-definition opera channel BravaHDTV to its line-up.
