Telefonica takes Intelsat capacity

Lagardere wants channels to breakeven

French media company Lagardere Active wants its digital-terrestrial channels Gulli and Virgin 17 to break even in 2010 and 2011 respectively, according to local press reports. Lagardere plans to invest more money in programming on the channels, which have been growing their advertising revenue despite the economic downturn.

Monaco Telecom launches interactive services



Monaco Telecom is launching a range of interactive services over its IPTV service. It has teamed with IPTV technology company Netgem and will roll out video-on-demand, internet radio, local internet TV and various information services. These will all be accessible via a new user interface.
