Intelsat reports increased revenue and loss

Satellite operator Intelsat reported revenues of US$631.8m (€464.4m) and a net loss of US$557.6m for the first quarter of 2009, compared with revenue of US$572.7m and a net loss of US$412.7m for the same period last year. Poland’s N sees subs boost

Polish media company TVN’s pay TV platform ‘n’ has recorded a subscriber boost to 549,000, compared to 239,000 last year. However, the company, which also operates the country’s leading free-to-air commercial network, posted a first quarter net loss of PLN29 million (€6.5m) as a result of foreign exchange losses related to its European debt.
