Envivo supports DVB-H in Finland

IP encoding specialist Envivio has signed a deal with Finnish digital-terrestrial TV operator Digita to support DVB-H services in the country. Envivo will supply its Mobile Series video encoding platform to Digita. It will be used to deliver 10 channels of DVB-H free-to-air and pay-TV mobile TV channels to mobile operators in Finland.

Kabel BW grows internet base

German cable operator Kabel BW has announced that it has signed up 444,444 internet customers, representing a year-on-year increase of 47%. Kabel BW offers a range of internet packages, offering speeds of between 6Mbps and 100Mbps, with plans to offer the latter across its network by mid-2010.
