Orange Moldova deploys CommScope Android TV STB

Orange Moldova has selected CommScope to provide the hardware for its latest generation Android TV set top box.

Orange TV Box 4K offers subscribers the next generation of a Hybrid DVB-C and IP connected 4K UHD digital video decoder that receives broadcast DVB-C TV services while also connecting to the Internet to provide OTT streaming services.

The device provides access to the full Orange Moldova TV Grid, with more than 180 live TV channels with play/pause functionality. The set top’s casings are manufactured with 99 percent post-consumer recycled plastics, with no single-use plastics in the packaging.

This is the latest Orange affiliate that CommScope has deployed with Android TV after Orange Slovensko in 2021 and Orange Belgium more recently. The pair will continue to launch similar platforms to additional affiliates throughout the course of 2022.
