Black Money Love

SPI international’s Turkish drama streaming offering Dizi has launched on Amazon Prime Video Channels in Spain.

The Dizi SVOD service, dubbed in Spanish, is being offered as an add-on paid monthly subscription package available for Prime members at €2.99 per month and subscribers can get a free trial for two weeks.

Some of the Dizi shows that will be available to Prime members in Spain include: Black Money Love starring Tuba Büyüküstün and Engin Akyürek; family saga Brave and Beautiful with Tuba Büyüküstün and Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, suburban revenge tale Stiletto Vendetta and thriller Insider.

“The powerful stories told in Turkish series and the magnetic landscapes that provide a backdrop to these stories have been mesmerizing the whole world for the past ten years. Now with the Dizi offer at Amazon Prime, Spanish viewers will gain access to Dizi, The Home of Good Stories, where they can enjoy a curated slate of addictive Turkish series, all in one place with an ever-growing catalogue to come,” said Georgina Twiss, MD Western Europe and Africa at SPI International.

SPI operates 42 free-to-air and pay-TV channels across European markets including Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, the Netherlands and Russia.

France’s Canal+ last week struck a deal to take a 70% stake in the outfit, whose brands include FilmBox, Film1 and Kino Polska as well as Dizi.

Loni Farhi, who founded SPI almost three decades ago, will continue to manage the business alongside CEO Berk Uziyel. Financial details have not been revealed and the deal remains subject to regulatory clearances.

Canal+ and SPI said the deal would create “reciprocal synergies” to assist international expansion, with the current management team and operational structure remaining in place.
