one albania one tvOne Albania, the Albanian telco created from the merger of Albtelecom and One Communication earlier this year, has revamped its TV platform, One TV, into a hybrid OTT and IPTV offering from a pure managed IPTV service.

The company said that the new platform is designed to offer viewers a superior and unique television experience, with a wide range of features and content to suit every member of the family.

The revamped offering, powered by AndroidTV set-top boxes, will provide a range of new features, enabling viewing on multiple devices via the One TV app, personalised content and parental control.

The company said that the upgrade upgrade of the TV platform demonstrated its commitment to providing the latest solutions and improving the lifestyle of its subscribers.

“One TV will transform the traditional television experience into a dynamic and interconnected medium. This experience is no longer just about consuming television content; but it’s about experiencing it, interacting with it and adapting it to your preferences and lifestyle,” said Brano Djurovic, executive director of One Albania.

During a presentation of the new service, Djurovic also highlighted the company’s progress in deploying fibre broadband.

“We are proud to be recognized internationally by Omnitele, for the best quality of the mobile network in Albania, according to the same standards as the countries of Northern Europe. On the other hand, we have a fixed network reinforced with other investments in fibre. In Albania, more than 6,000 km of fibre have already been installed and almost 220,000 families using our fibre network have been reached,” he said.
