Allente unveils all-device OTT service launch based on 3SS’s 3Ready platform

Nordic PayTV and streaming platform Allente, 50/50 owned by Telenor and Viaplay Group, has launched its new “Allente Stream” multiscreen OTT offering. As a result, the operator has gone live with new apps for Android TV & mobiles, Apple TV, LG and Samsung Smart TVs, Web, and iOS, based on 3SS’s 3Ready product platform.

According to Allente, it can visually manage and optimise all TV experiences across all platforms with the 3Ready Control Center, 3SS’ next-generation UX management and optimisation platform. 3SS used React Native for cross-platform development, which it said resulted in better scalability to launch features across multiple platforms.

Allente currently has one million subscribers across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. With its new all-device availability, the company said it is now delivering maximum flexibility to its video service subscribers in the Nordic region. “With 3Ready as our technology foundation, and 3SS as long-term partner, we’re offering our customers the widest possible array of super-aggregated entertainment, with total choice as to how, where and when they enjoy their favourite content,” said Jon Espen Nergård, Allente CTO. “3Ready Control Center enables us to optimise the UX and curate content across all platforms in real-time, giving us all the power we need on our mission to deliver world-class entertainment experiences to our customers.”

“Allente is regarded as one of the most customer-centric and technologically innovative TV and streaming providers in the world,” added 3SS CPO & CMO Pierre Donath, “Allente today has pushed the envelope even further with the full multiscreen launch of Allente Stream, and we are so proud to be Allente’s long-term partner.”

Allente was established in May 2020 by a merger between Canal Digital and Viasat Consumer. Now owned by Telenor Group and Viaplay Group, it had revenues of SEK 6.9 billion in 2022. IBC 2023 visitors will have the first opportunity to see Allente’s full-service platform and discover how user-centric entertainment can be seamlessly curated across multiple screens, markets and languages.
