Netgem and Gamestream team up to offer combined gaming and TV to telcos

Netgem.tvWhite label B2B cloud gaming solutions provider Gamestream and video technology and B2B2C service provider outfit Netgem have struck a partnership that will see gaming integrated with TV streaming entertainment in the service packages of telecom operators.

Gamestream offers telecom operators cloud gaming tech in both B2B and B2B2C models. The company provides low latency streaming in tandem with a video games including Hot Wheels Unleashed, Garfield Lasagna Party and Overcooked! 2.

The pair say that the partnership between Gamestream and Netgem will transform TV and mobile into an interactive entertainment hub for families, allowing for a multi-player approach that also enables fan communities.

The service will be distributed to telcos across EMEA, giving telcos access to a catalogue of hundreds of licenses intended for a family audience, with additional games added each month.

This partnership also paves the way for new interactive experiences built from rich content, such as cross-content recommendations so users can switch from video content delivered via Netgem’s netgem.tv offering to a game and vice versa.
