Kabelnoord names new CEO

Daan van Beek

Dutch regional cable operator Kabelnoord has named Daan van Beek as its new CEO.

The company’s general meeting of shareholders unanimously approved the proposal of the Supervisory Board to appoint van Beek on June 2.
Van Beek has extensive experience within Kabelnoord as a technology manager and MT member, where he led the roll-out of the operator’s new fibre optic network in Friesland, among other things.

Kabelnoord operates via HFC and FTTH networks in the Friesland region of the Netherlands, providing cable TV, internet and telephony access to residential and business customers. The company has been a public company since 1996.

Kabelnoord offers TV services including a boxless smart TV offering for which it partnered in 2021 with Aferian unit 24i, which previously supplied it with interactive services for its pay TV offering.
