TF1 names Deflesselle as new technology chief

French commercial broadcaster TF1 has named Raphaëlle Deflesselle has director of technology and information systems, replacing Thomas Jacques, who has left the group.

Deflesselle, who will join TF1’s executive committee, will be tasked with defining and putting in place the necessary technology measures to help TF1 in its strategic decision to accelerate its drive towards digital and to achieve the goal of becoming France’s reference free family-oriented news and entertainment streaming destination.

Alongside the move towards digital, with technology seen as a major enabler of the broadcaster’s competitiveness, she will also be charged with overseeing the company’s broadcast infrastructure and information systems, IT operations and innovation.

Deflesselle was previously director of operations and projects at Bouygues Telecom Enterprises, having previously served as director of governance, research and IT transformation. Bouygues Telecom is a sister company of TF1.

“Raphaëlle Deflesselle’s experience at the head of B2C and B2B information systems at Bouygues Telecom and Bouygues Telecom Enterprises form excellent assets to lead the development of platformisation and the technological transformations that involves,” said Rodolphe Belmer, CEO of TF1.
