Tele Columbus consumer business chief Riedel leaves

German cable operator Tele Columbus’s chief consumer officer, Stefan Riedel, is to leave the company.

Riedel, who has held his position for four and a half years, is to leave the German operator to pursue new challenges, according to a company press release.

Tele Columbus credited Riedel with successfully transforming its residential customer business, which is the responsibility of the CEO, during his time with the operator.

His tenure saw  Tele Columbus introduce new service concepts under the PŸUR brand. Riedel is also credited with helping Tele Columbus/PŸUR establish itself as one of the fastest growing providers of broadband services in the German market.

Tele Columbus said it would reveal more “in due course” about his successor as overall manager for the residential customer business.

“I would like to thank Stefan for his many years of commitment to our customers and his valuable contribution to the development of our company. We owe him the ability to continue driving our business from a solid market position,” said CEO Markus Oswald.

“I wish him only the best for his personal and professional future.”
