Eurovision Sport taps Ad Insertion Platform for SSAI

Eurovision Sport, part of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), has tapped ad technology outfit Ad Insertion Platform (AIP), to use its server-side ad insertion solution, CDN distribution and ad sales services for the video streaming of its Sport Digital Platform.   

Eurovision Sport’s Sport Digital Platform, designed so that sports federations, broadcasters, and social platforms can work, is aimed at giving sports maximum exposure to new audiences worldwide to complement the coverage of EBU Members.

In 2022, Ad Insertion Platform integrated its ad insertion technology and monetization services into Ad insertion Platform provides the US patented SSAI solution for all countries covered by EBU rights and integrates with EBU Members’ ad servers. AIP also provides the ad sales service, AIP Monetiz, for some specific countries where needed.

The collaboration will see both organisations exploring monetization opportunities on digital content. Eurovision’s AIP has partnered with major SSP networks to create a new Ad Sales house unit that has been designed to open up new video advertising opportunities while orchestrating and managing the programmatic ad sales process, according to the pair.

AIP has also provided its Content Delivery Network (CDN) to optimize the delivery of All Athletics live sports streaming content to multiple screens.
