Arabsat and France Médias Monde strike new deal

Arabsat and French overseas media group France Médias Monde have strengthened their strategic relationship with the renewal of the satellite distribution contract for broadcasting the France 24 TV SD channels and RFI Radio and MC Doualiya, owned by the group, on Arabsat Badr-4 satellite at 26° East, which reaches the MENA region and Europe under one coverage zone.

The renewal also included the France 24 HD Channels (France 24 Arabic, English and French) that are exclusively available on Arabsat.

Alhamedi M. Alanezi, Arabsat President and CEO, said: “We are pleased with this visit to strengthen and prolong our strategic partnership with FMM  and continue to distribute their channels to all their Arab viewers across MENA and Europe, also to emphasize our keen endeavor to bring the best satellite channels to our video neighborhood. Arabsat is proud to host the topmost watched global news channels exclusively on our satellites.”

FMM group Director of International Development and Commercial Resources Serge Schick said: “We are delighted to renew our contract with Arabsat who have accompanied France 24 since its launch, contributing to the channel’s success.
