Allen Media Group picks Quickplay for DTC expansion

Allen Media Group has announced an agreement with Quickplay – formerly Firstlight Media – to power its DTC strategy.

Allen Media Group owns 27 ABC-NBC-CBS-FOX network affiliate broadcast television stations in 21 US markets and twelve 24-hour HD television networks serving nearly 220 million subscribers. These include The Weather Channel, Pets.TV and Mydestination.TV, along with The Weather Channel Streaming App and Local Now.

Leading on the Google Cloud-powered Quickplay platform, the pair will look to create streaming opportunities around existing Allen Media Group properties for local and global expansion.
