Da Vinci Kids comes to Curiosity’s Smart Bundle

Curiosity, the factual entertainment media company set up by Discovery founder John Hendricks, is adding Macademia’s Da Vinci Kids to its bundle offering.

The Curiosity Smart Bundle is offered through the company’s flagship streaming service CuriosityStream and combines seven services for a one-off annual fee of US$69.99: Curiosity Stream, Tastemade, Topic, SOMM TV, One Day University, Nebula and, starting in August, Da Vinci Kids.

Da Vinci Kids, formerly Da Vinci Learning, carries STEM and soft skills-based learning programming targeted at children. It was acquired by UK-based Media and Edtech company Macademia in early 2020, and now serves 60 million children in 22 languages across 90 countries.

Devin Emery, Curiosity chief strategy officer, said: “We are excited to welcome Da Vinci Kids into the best collection of mind-expanding subscription services in the world. From the Curiosity Kids collection, plus family-friendly viewing across all the bundled services and now the best-in-class programming from Da Vinci Kids, the Smart Bundle has more value and smart entertainment options for families than ever before.”

Douglas Lloyd, Macademia co-founder and CEO, said: “Da Vinci Kids and Curiosity share a similar passion for sparking curiosity and exploring our world. Our combined programming gives parents an enormous opportunity to further enhance how their children learn through programming the whole family can watch together.”
