Airtel Xstream at 2 million subs

Indian pay TV operator Bharti Airtel has announced that its Airtel Xstream platform now has 2 million paid subscribers.

Launched in February, Airtel Xstream Premium, aggregates content from 15 Indian and global video OTT players within one app. At launch, customers will get access to over 10,500 movies, shows and live channels from: SonyLIV, ErosNow, Lionsgate Play, Hoichoi, ManoramaMax, Shemaroo, Ultra, HungamaPlay, EPICon, Docubay, DivoTV, Klikk, Nammaflix, Dollywood, Shorts TV on Airtel Xstream Premium.

The platform is also available in a more restricted version for mobile, with Airtel claiming Xstream to be India’s fastest growing OTT aggregator platform.

Airtel is looking to achieve 20 million subscribers, and is consistently increasing the number of content partners.

The operator said viewers are spending an average of 150 minutes per day watching content on Xtstream, while SonyLiv, Hungama, Eros Now and Lionsgate play are the most searched for content partners on the platform.
