Amazon brings Kids+ service to UK

Amazon has launched its Amazon Kids+ service in the UK.

The service covers children aged 3-12, and provides access to thousands of age-appropriate books, movies, TV shows, educational apps and games.

Amazon Kids+, formerly Fire for Kids Unlimited, is an all-new Fire TV experience that allows parents to set up or use existing Kids profiles. Parents can add purchased TV shows, films and downloaded apps such as Netflix, Disney+, and BBC iPlayer to their kids’ profiles.

Content available on Amazon Kids+ includes titles like Peppa Pig, Mr Bean, Paw Patrol, iCarly, Fireman Sam, Lego Ninjago and Amazon Kids+ Original Super Spy Ryan.

Parents will also receive easy-to-use parental controls that give them the ability to manage settings including customisable time limits, age filters, and weekday and weekend settings. They will also have access to a dashboard on both mobile and web browser to view daily activity reports and adjust settings.

Pricing starts at £1.99 per month for Prime members for a single child, and £4.99 per month for Prime members for a family of up to four children. The service costs £3.99/£7.99 per month for non-Prime subscribers.

Amazon Kids on Fire TV is available on Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K, and Fire TV (3rd Gen, Pendant Design). Amazon Kids on Fire TV will be rolling out to Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen) later this year.
